ADULT RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
RCIA |
The
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process by which
non-Catholic adults come to an understand the Catholic faith.
Participants meet weekly during the program session. The
sessions include prayer, Scripture sharing, reflections on Christian
life, and opportunities to learn about Catholic doctrine and
practices. Each participant is accompanied by a Catholic Sponsor.
Adult
Confirmation preparation includes an in-depth review of the teachings of
the Catholic Church, using the new Catechism of the Catholic Church and
Sacred Scripture. A series of eight sessions is required.
All classes are approximately two hours or less and are held weekly during the program session. Study outside of class is required. All
participants must be at least 18 years of age, Baptized, and have
received the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist.
