Advent Mission Part 2

Advent Mission Tuesday, December 13 and Wednesday December 14

7pm in the new nursery of the Gathering Space

God wants to speak to you this Advent that is different from last Advent. Join us for a two-part talk that will help us reflect on Who is coming this Advent? And Why? And how beauty came to us at Christmas and continues to be a big part of the Church today.

About our guest speaker: Dr. Michelle K. Borras is currently director of liturgy at Ave Maria Parish in Parker. She received a B.A. in English literature from Harvard University; and an STL and Ph.D in theology from the John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family in Rome and in Washington, DC, respectively. She has taught theology as an adjunct professor and has given seminars in Catholic literature and theology. From 2010-2015 she was Theologian in Residence at the St. John Paul II National Shrine and Director of the Knights of Columbus’ Catholic Information Service.

Dr. Borras is a consecrated laywoman, who took private vows in 2012. She spent several years sharing in the life of the Centro Aletti community in Rome, a community with which she remains deeply bound in friendship and in way of life. From this community she received her formation not only in a theology of the liturgy and liturgical art, but also in the art of spiritual accompaniment and the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. For the past two years she worked in a parish in the Archdiocese of Washington, DC, before moving to Colorado this past summer.
