MARCH 11TH, DAY ONE:
FOSTER FATHER OF JESUS

Saint Joseph, you were privileged to share in the mystery of the Incarnation as the foster father of Jesus. For this purpose, the Heavenly Father gave you a genuine heart of a father – a heart full of love and self-sacrifice. When Herod sought to put Jesus to death, your fatherly love was the only refuge that received and protected the Divine Child. Your fatherly love carried him through the desert into Egypt. Then on your arms the Child returned to Nazareth to be raised and provided for by the labor of your hands.

Glorious Saint Joseph, foster father of Jesus, today we pray for all fathers, that you may guide them to protect and provide for their families with charity and teach them to be obedient to our Father who is in heaven.

MARCH 12TH, DAY TWO:
HUSBAND OF MARY

Saint Joseph, I honor you as the true husband of Mary. You were the protector and witness of Mary's virginity. By your marriage you gave to each other your virginity and safeguarded the other's virtue. You were the faithful companion, support, and comforter of the Mother of Sorrows. It was through your marriage that the Father chose to bring his Son Jesus Christ into the world.

Glorious Saint Joseph, spouse of the Immaculate Virgin, today we pray for all marriages. May they be strengthened by the Holy Spirit, and truly become fruitful in accord with the will of our true Father who is in heaven.

MARCH 13TH, DAY THREE:
MAN CHOSEN BY THE BLESSED TRINITY

Saint Joseph, you were the man chosen by God the Father to be a guide, protect, and support the Holy Family. You were the man chosen by God the Son, to act as father and to live entirely consecrated to Jesus, offering Him your virtues, your work, and your sufferings. You were chosen by the Holy Spirit as the instrument to show all men their vocation to fatherhood.

Glorious Saint Joseph, man chosen by the blessed Trinity, today we pray for all men, that they may learn from you their vocation to fatherhood, rooted in purity, humility, and obedience to our Father who is in heaven.

MARCH 14TH, DAY FOUR:
FAITHFUL SERVANT

Saint Joseph, you lived as the faithful servant of Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh. Although you were the head of the Holy Family, you lived your leadership in service. Although father, you lived as your Son´s faithful disciple. You lived as the obedient servant of the Father in Heaven by taking Mary as your wife, fleeing to Egypt with the child Jesus, and returning to Nazareth at the indicated time.

Glorious Saint Joseph, faithful servant of God, today we pray for all Christians, that we may live as true servants of the Lord. Help us to hear the voice of the Lord in our lives and to be obedient to our true Father who is in heaven.

MARCH 15TH, DAY FIVE:
PATRON OF THE CHURCH

Saint Joseph, God has appointed you patron of the Catholic Church because you were father, protector, guide, and support of the Holy Family. You were charged with protecting the Body of Christ, which continues now in the institution of the Church. You were protector of the Virgin Mary, whose motherhood is reflected in the motherhood of the Church.

Glorious Saint Joseph, patron of the Church, today we pray for the Church, that we may live as witnesses to the life, death, and resurrection of your Son, and in true obedience to our Father who is in heaven.

MARCH 16TH, DAY SIX:
PATRON OF FAMILIES

Saint Joseph, I venerate you as the head of the Holy Family. You were the protector, counselor, and consolation of the Holy Family in every need. Jesus chose to fulfill toward you, His foster-father, all the duties of a faithful son. And Mary showed you all the signs of respect and love of a devoted wife. Therefore, the family is dear to you as the work of God, for his honor and glory and for the well-being of man.

Glorious Saint Joseph, patron of families, today we pray for all families. Your help is needed in our day when God's enemy has directed his attack against the family, to desecrate and destroy it. In the face of these evils, teach parents and children to live in the truth and with love and reconciliation, always obedient to our Father in heaven.

MARCH 17TH, DAY SEVEN:
FRIEND IN SUFFERING

Saint Joseph, your share of suffering was very great because of your close union with the Divine Savior. All the mysteries of His life were mysteries of suffering. Poverty pressed upon you, and the cross of labor followed you everywhere. You were truly the martyr of the hidden life, bearing the trials of father and husband with joy and silent obedience to our Lord.

Glorious Saint Joseph, friend in suffering, today we pray for all Christians, that we may learn how to suffer. Help us to bear our trials joyfully. May they bring us closer to Christ and teach us to live in obedience to our Father who is in heaven.

MARCH 18TH, DAY EIGHT:
PATRON OF WORKERS

Saint Joseph, you devoted your time at Nazareth to the humble work of a carpenter. It was the will of God that you and your foster-Son should spend your time together in manual labor. You were content with your position in life, however lowly, because you were obedient to the will of our Lord.  By your labor you show us the dignity of human work and teach us to seek the glory of God in our human tasks.

Glorious Saint Joseph, patron of workers, today we pray for all workers, and we pray in a special way today for the success of our new parish center. Please bless our efforts and sacrifices, and may they yield fruits of eternal life, in accord with the will of our Father who is in heaven.

MARCH 19TH, DAY NINE:
PATRON OF A HAPPY DEATH

Saint Joseph, you gave your entire life over to the service of Jesus and Mary. You gave them shelter and clothed, nourished, and consoled the Christ Child at the sacrifice of all your strength and rest. How fitting it is that at your death, you enjoyed the consolation of dying in their loving arms.

Glorious St. Joseph, patron of a happy death, today we pray for the grace to spend each day in preparation for death. May we, too, accept death in the spirit of joyful resignation to God's holy will, and die, as you did, in the arms of Jesus and Mary. Above all, help us to die to our own will, and instead live with obedience to the will of our Father who is in heaven.
