For Children
Our two-year Religious Education program prepares your child or grandchild, ages 7 to 17, to receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and/or Eucharist, and if needed Baptism.
For Adults
The OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) is a one-year journey of faith for those who desire to learn more about the Catholic Church and explore a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. It is open to adults who are unbaptized, as well as those from other Christian traditions or religious backgrounds who are interested in becoming Catholic, and even to baptized Catholics who have not yet received Confirmation or First Holy Communion. This is a time of prayer, formation, and accompaniment, where you are invited to grow in understanding and discern God’s call in your life as you prepare, if ready, to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and/or First Holy Communion.
Confirmation
“The effect of Confirmation is a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit like that of Pentecost. This outpouring impresses on the soul an indelible character and produces a growth in the grace of Baptism. It roots the recipient more deeply in divine sonship, binds him more firmly to Christ and to the Church and reinvigorates the gifts of the Holy Spirit in his soul. It gives a special strength to witness to the Christian faith.”
